Atlantic Marine Trades Association

The Atlantic Marine Trades Association (AMTA) is the official voice of the recreational boating industry in Canada's Maritime Provinces. Incorporated under the Canada Corporations Act in 1987, AMTA is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors working with its stakeholders to grow and enhance boating in the Atlantic Region of Canada and support its members in their endeavours. AMTA members include manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, dealers and brokers of yachts, boats, engines and accessories, as well as marina operators, recreational marine service providers and other boating-related organizations. AMTA is the owner of the Halifax International Boat Show and a partner in Discover Boating, a national initiative to attract more people to the recreational boating lifestyle. www.boatinginatlanticcanada.com

Boating Ontario

Boating Ontario is the largest recreational boating trade association in Canada. Province wide our 600 members represent Marina Operators, Boat dealers and suppliers to Ontario's diverse recreational boating industry. Mid-Canada Marine and Powersports Dealers Association

The Mid-Canada Marine and Powersports Dealers Association and the MMPDA Powersports Committee are dedicated to working towards the betterment of the boating and powersports industries and in so doing, enhancing the boating and powersports lifestyle. www.mmpda.ca

Quebec Maritime Association

Founded in 1996, the Quebec Marine Association (QMA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote boating as a lifestyle and to support the boating industry. On behalf of its 9 000 members which include boaters, marinas, yacht harbors and sailing schools, the QMA plans, coordinates and works with its many partners on all issues surrounding the boating activities. With its numerous programs (Marinas Classification, Eco-Marinas, Quebec Nautical Stations, Boating Safety), the QMA also promotes boating through big events like the Montreal Boat and Water Sports Show. Canadian Power and Sail Squadron

Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons is a non-profit organization that has been connecting boaters for over 75 years and continues to play a major role in Canadian boating culture. We are a nationwide organization of recreational boating enthusiasts with over 20,000 active members. Our instructors help recreational boaters improve their boating safety knowledge as well as their vessel handling and navigation skills. www.cps-ecp.ca

Sail Canada

Sail Canada is a Registered Amateur Athletic Association with charitable status, designated by the Government of Canada as a National Sport Organization representing the sport of Sailing. The Association represents all participants including recreational sailors and high performance athletes at the club, provincial, national and international level. Sail Canada is a non-profit corporation founded in 1931. The Association is governed by its constitution and by-laws, as well as many policies ratified by the Board of Directors. www.sailing.ca

Waterski-Wakeboard Canada

Water Ski & Wakeboard Canada has been in the business of serving water skiers, and now wakeboarders, for over 50 years. Water Ski & Wakeboard Canada is a non-profit organization. It is the sole national sport governing body and recognized water skiing / wakeboard authority in Canada. It is affiliated with the International Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) and World Wakeboard Association (WWA). The national office is located in Ottawa, Ontario. Water Ski & Wakeboard Canada is responsible for developing elite athletes and coaches, and in partnership with its provincial affiliates and local clubs, camps and schools, directs grassroots activities in all towed competitive water sports. Paddle Canada

Since 1971, Paddle Canada has set national standards for instruction and certification for all major recreational paddling disciplines. Nearly 2,000 Paddle Canada certified instructors deliver sanctioned canoe, kayak and stand up paddleboard (SUP) courses to more than 10,000 paddlers across Canada annually. American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC)

The American Boat & Yacht Council, ABYC, was created in 1954 as a non-profit organization to develop safety standards for the design, construction, equipage, repair and maintenance of boats. Association of Marina Industries (AMI)

A non-profit membership organization dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of the marina industry. AMI was formed when the Marina Operators Association of America (MOAA) and the International Marina Institute (IMI) merged in 2005. For more information, visit www.marinaassociation.org/

Boating Writers International (BWI)

BWI is a professional organization consisting of writers, editors, publishers, photographers, broadcasters, public relations specialists and others in the communications profession associated with the boating industry.

Members include active marine journalists across the United States, Canada and Europe; associate members in public relations roles; and supporting members, such as marine manufacturers and service companies.

Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA) 

The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas is the only North American association dedicated to furthering the interests of boat and engine dealers and other marine-related retailers throughout North America. Through its MRAA Rewards Program, the MRAA offers a host of cost-saving, revenue-generating, business-improvement, and professional-development benefits, in addition to its valuable legislative work in Washington, D.C., and across North America. National Marine Distributors Association (NMDA)

NMDA works to promote the common business interests and improve the business conditions of wholesale distributors of marine accessories, as well as the marine industry in general.

Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA)

The Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA) is a trade association that promotes and protects towed water sports activities. It is the industry advocate that communicates, produces and distributes safety and educational materials for towed water sports, and works with local, state, and federal agencies in partnership with national governing bodies to ensure the use of waterways for towed water sports.
