The following details the programs and initiatives NMMA South Carolina is addressing on a state level for our members and all South Carolina industry stakeholders:

South Carolina Clean Marina Program

The South Carolina Clean Marina Program is administered by the National Marine Manufacturers Association South Carolina in partnership with the SC Department of Health & Environmental Control’s Office of Coastal Resource Management and the SC Department of Natural Resources. It is part of an international effort to protect and improve water quality by controlling nonpoint source water pollution. Twenty-four other states and territories also participate in the Clean Marina Program

Marinas and boatyards that meet the Clean Marina Program’s environmental performance criteria are recognized for their environmental stewardship and qualify to fly the Clean Marina flag. As part of the program, these facilities also encourage their customers and other boaters to protect our waterways. Learn more about the requirements and view a list of the current clean marinas.
